Water Lettuce is a good fast-growing floating plant that reduces excess light, discourages algae growth, purifies water, removes nitrogen and provides shelter for fish, shrimp and snails. Plant size at sale: 3-5 cm (1-2 inches); mature plants will reach 12-15 cm (5-6 inches) and give plenty of runners. Don’t worry if some plant roots are damaged during transit – Water Lettuce is an adaptable plant and its roots will grow back soon after being put in water. All our aquatic plants are safe for shrimp and snails. We post Monday to Thursday to avoid the product being trapped in the post over the weekend.
